The Public Sector

Interactive Virtual Worlds offer considerable benefits to the public sector, providing a unique and modern environment for local authorities to collaborate and consult with local constituents.

Below are some examples of what your organization can do with a virtual presence. With virtual worlds you can:

  • Create virtual locations to hold consultations helping to build strong relationships between the authority and its constituents.
  • Host online exhibitions and workshops to support and encourage growth of local businesses.
  • Create 3D models of building planning so that constituents can be consulted and correctly informed on the impact of large scale projects.
  • Create an online presence which assists in service delivery whilst also making the authority more accessible to constituents.

Due to the vast service offering of local authorities we have only outlined a few examples of how Second Places can help your organisation meet its objectives, to find more examples please visit the business, education and travel and tourism sections.
