Second Places in ISEA2009

Second Places are helping the University of Salford and Liverpool John Moore University with their immersive art installation in ISEA2009. The installation is available outside the Waterfront Hall until Saturday 29th August.
The installation is called "Urban Intersections" and consists 4 parts:
- Virtual world version of the Waterfront Hall in Belfast
- Virtual barbeque
- Mixing together visitors in the real life Waterfront Hall and virtual building
- Moving avatars based on motion detection at the front of the Waterfront Hall
Second Places Ltd provides technology for the installation and also help with system integration. All components are hosted on Second Places OpenSim based dedicated virtual world platform.
