Second Places created a replica of the Real Life Urbis Museum within Second Life Manchester, as part of a joint venture to create a Second Life Manchester with Manchester Digital Development Agency.
This stunning replica demonstrates Second Places ability to build real world buildings in a virtual world displaying all the fine details which you would find in the real life building. Urbis Second Life now plays host to a number of virtual exhibitions and host to a number of other events.
For example to celebrate the opening of the URBIS exhibition commemorating the 25th anniversary of the opening of Manchester's legendary Hacienda club, Second Places hosted a Second Life party in the Second Life Urbis building. Live music was streamed from the real life event which was happening at the same time from famed DJs Peter Hook, Sasha and Graeme Park.
