Simulate
Skip Links
Second Places can be used to simulate events both past and present, exhibitions, buildings and facilities providing a location for the client to reach their target market. Simulation can also be used in training to simulate events which could not be done in real life, for example emerging response situations.
Events
Second Places give organisations the ability to recreate historical events allowing audiences to travel back in time.
Facilities
Second Places have the ability to create exact replicas of facilities and buildings enabling visitors to take virtual tours and to visualise original designs and structures.
Second Places were engaged by Manchester Central Exhibition Centre to create a replica of their real life building in the popular Manchester Second Life Island. Every small detail of the real world was replicated even down to the type of brick. This allows you to see the attention to detail which can be incorporated into virtual worlds.
Training
Second Places can use virtual technology to simulate hazardous events which can be used to train and evaluate human responses. This would be particularly relevant in areas where incidents can’t be safely or realistically created. For example, in the oil and gas sector.
